"Not worth the pay when you add up the hours worked. Management is terrible and promotions are made without proper consideration."
"This is a horrible company to work for. While you can make a decent amount of money, the management is horrible, hostile, and passive-aggressive. Customers are also aggressive as management seems to do their best to forget about customer service."
"I worked for HCI for over a year. Never work at this plant, or for this company. Drivers have the better jobs delivering ice, packaging workers in the bagging room are treated terribly. No breaks, long hours, and the employer at the Huntsville AL location is very biased to his workers. They’re unorganized and overall a bad workplace. Do yourself and anyone you know a favor, learn from my mistake and don’t work here. Awful, awful management."
"If you like driving hundreds of miles a day in a high mileage, hot, smelly, dirty, junky, with a shot suspension that wanders all over the road, old van. Getting yelled at by customers, because the icebox wasn't fixed the previous 4 times someone was there. Dealing with the most passive aggressive bosses and, getting straight up lied to. Having to buy 80% of your own tools, and sometimes your own parts! Being trained for just three days. And then you are expected to diagnose, and repair anything wrong with an icebox. And then going into some of the most dangerous, sketchy neighborhoods, and areas where you can't work on the machine, because your constantly have to make sure someone isn't sneaking up behind you. If any of this sounds good, then by all means work here, otherwise run away, far away from this job!!"
