"I came to my present company on the heels of a successful stint at Cypress Equities, and Seritage Growth Partners, to help improve or establish policies and procedures for the General Construction and Project Management opportunities the company continues to be awarded. The company has been hampered by the lacking project quality, and supervision, missing delivery dates, budget expectations and successful execution of construction goals. Repetition of poor subcontractor management, and realistic delivery requirements by Superintendents is a product of a systemic lack of oversight and involvement by the Project Management Team. All efforts are focused on reacting to issues or complaints, and not proactively managing and training personnel. I had big goals upon joining this company, and was initially impressed by the aptitude and effort of the personnel, however as recommendations were made, and changes attempted, the unwillingness to modify long standing bad habits and processes by senior leadership, were backed by the principal owner, who is extremely adverse to conflict or progress, quite the opposite of the discussion we had prior to my agreeing to joining the company. I have realized that the company is not ready or willing to embrace any improvement, if it upsets the current VP, and his scheduled retirement has been rescheduled indefinitely, at complete contradiction to what was discussed."
