"I worked at HHGregg for 2 years, moved from the ranks of Warehouse into CSR into Operations Lead. Like all retail businesses, its works well when there are managers and co-workers you can depend on. At the time I worked at this location I had the best managers and co-workers one might ever get out of the retail business. It was a pleasant and rewarding place to work, albeit, we were lucky with the team that was together."

"The company does not care for its employees. We ask for workplace improvements, only to be ignored. There are some great people in the company that do great work. There are others that lie and cheat their way through day to day, and those seem to be the ones to get promoted and recognized for great work."

"I've worked for HHgregg for almost 2 years. I quickly became accustomed to the workplace and succeeded. I made good money for a while but the workplace environment deteriorated (or maybe I just became more aware of it). The management is terrible, sales have decreased as a result of decreased traffic, and commissions have plummeted."

"In order to move up in the company you have to be manager's pet. Performance doesn't matter. I put my heart and soul for this company, yet kids who just turn 18 and are not performing as good got promotions. In a nut shell people who are in management are there not due to their skills, it's because their manager liked them. As far as sales goes same thing, manager favorite gets free deals or gets deals from other associate in his day off."

"Poorly run and managed company. The underlings of the company are under appreciated and not respected by the people that are higher up in the company."

"Too many hours. Unstable environment does not allow salesmen enough time to learn product and grow."
