In the past two years, the design region has experienced 100% turnover with its marketing staff and is currently experiencing significant turnover region wide. This is due solely to the tyrannical, micro-managing, director of design. He is coercive and abusive toward subordinates. This accounts for the exodus of top talent within the firm in the last six months. If you are applying for a position in the Atlanta Design region... steer clear. What was once a reputable stable firm has become a case study of a declining organization with worst case management."

What don't you like about working at Heery International?

"The cyclical nature of our construction industry forces upper management to sometimes lay off key personel despite their high level of competence."

"Offer alternative options including part toime work, 70% salary, until opprtunities return"

"The coworkers, jobs, and relationships with subcontractors, cliants and venders were excellentThe company support for all but my last job was grate. They always tried to keep work close to home. Had over 22 good years with them."

What don't you like about working at Heery International?

"They did not let me take my vacation time or give me time off when I had major issues at home, even though I had 6 weeks vacation time due. I had no company support on my last project, no project engineer, part time secratary, I had to work till 9:00 PM a lot of days to make up lack of company suppot to the point I was tired out. other than my last job, 20 years plus was grate."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If an employee that has always preformed well and all of a sudden there are issues with this individual, ask yourself what has changed. Dont asume he has gone bad, talk to them, ask questions. My last month before being laid off my father in law died, my wife had to go up north for a month and deal with it her self. While I was at home trying to maintain a houshold, and pets while working until 9 at nite. The same day my wife returned I was laid off because of being late form being tired out. Only so much a person can deal with. If I had a vacation I would still have a job."

"Yes Give detailed information on what your skills are and find out upfront what is expected of you in the position you are applying to."

"At times it was hard to reach the design dept foa quick answers to Engineering problems"

"All upper echelon are very intelligent, I don't think I could make a suggestion that could make a difference in managament"
