"I worked for Healthy Spot for a little over a year and at first, couldn't believe how much I loved it! However, as months passed it seemed like the higher management knew something they weren't sharing. we went through 3 different department managers within a few month periods, all of which didn't seem like they even asked to be promoted and weren't properly trained for the position. we lost the groomer after the groomer and were completely understaffed. I was the only bather for months on a minimum wage pay working against 4 groomers, double booked more often then not, bathing about 18 dogs a day and no extra help for coverage when I needed a sick day or family emergency. When concerns were expressed, multiple different solutions to ease employees' minds would be shared throughout the departments by management which only frustrated everyone further. The excitement of bonding with a client and their baby was soon lost and replaced with constant anxiety about what would happen next and pressure to get through the day and keep with the schedule rather than do what I loved and given quality and comfortable service every day."
