What do you like about working at H&E Equipment?

"They are very focused on the bottom-line and run the company relatively well. There are advancement opportunities for good performers especially since upper levels tend to leave for more money elsewhere. Not the cubicles, low pay, lack of appreciation for work, politics, distractions from other staff, lack of professionalism from other staff, fickle management, lack of training due to ever-present budget cutting."

What don't you like about working at H&E Equipment?

"Boredom, no training - lower level employees are expendable. If you want a job where you can settle into a rut for a couple years then get laid off when their business cycle turns bad - then sign up"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Your employees are your best asset, cultivate them"

"I liked the people and the variety of work. Liked traveling to other places out of state."

"Make sure you have been in touch with HR to make sure of times and dates."

"Management not fully responsive to employee concerns"

"Have a better means of communicating with perspective emplyees through the HR department. I applied to jobs there after being laid off and never heard from the HR manager. It would be nice to get a letter from them saying yes we will hire you or no we will not."

"Fast paced environment, and ability to turn 1.2 million dollar loser to profit in 2 years."

"Make sure you have an open mind to critical backlash from corporate."

What don't you like about working at H&E Equipment?

"The inmates are allowed to run the asylum by not getting the best effort and the feeling of privilege."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Let the managers do their job! Sixteen managers in the western region were replaced in two years!"

"Location. I am from California and moved to Louisiana for my promotion."

"Listen and be more in touch with your customers and employees."

"Ok company if you are 40+, no place for young employees. Very low on the pay scale vs the amount of profit that is pocketed annually."

"Left a long career at another rental company to come to H&E based off of the reputation they had in my old market. Joined in October 2015 only to be laid off in March 2016. Supposedly they had a workforce reduction. Not sure how many others were affected. Apparently the DFW market is not near as strong for them as they seemed it was."
