"Good place to work. No cons"
"HDR has a strong foothold on the design community. We had true flexibility in hours and getting work done. Projects were diverse and complex. They provided a challenge. Good middle management team."
"Great company to work for."
"Large company with the opportunity for growth both professionally and in a technical aspect."
"It was great to work at an engineering firm with good values"
"The Denver location has a great culture overall, and the office space is both comfortable and stunning. There are many processes that could be improved to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction."
"HDR is heavily engaged in doing work with the government, so it can be a little frustrating as nothing ever goes fast and schedules can be meaningless. So, if you know this going in, it will help. I'm currently working on another big project and it helps knowing that efficiencies are bad and one must budget for that (time and money). HDR's emphasis is on providing heaper labor at the risk of more qualified labor, and that often impacts the quality of the final work product, which can be frustrating as well. One must just try and manage it."
"I am able to work with great people and honestly love the work I do. The problem is the compensation for IT staff. They are far below market value and will not catch you up if you call them out on it."
"Enjoy my coworkers and the atmosphere."
"Same old story. Another mid-level engineering firm with no motivation or incentives. Not a place to advance your career or to attain average industry salaries. You want more money? Then work more hours. These companies make more money the more hours you work. That's your bonus. One in one out."
