"The health insurance is great. I could go to an urgent care for $30. The students are also wonderful. My coworkers were great. The admin and more than a few of the chairs and deans are horrible. Starting pay in my department was $42-49K. You are expected to do a lot for that amount of money. 3 college committee assignments, 3-6 for departments, 2 grants that pass a year, a 3 year dossier, 3 'teaching excellence' conferences a year, the shortest winter break (Christmas Eve to New Years Day), 6-8 classes a semester, heavy recruitment, and so much more."
"The Hampton University Architecture Department (HUArch) focuses on collaborative, purposeful design solution-based programs. By learning the process of design, Hampton University Architecture students become equipped with diverse knowledge and skills to thrive in the practice of architecture."
