"Family until the buyout. And do not call it a "merger" as the company was purchased by Vista Equity Group. After the buy out there was a lay off at all former companies and then, what many will call "forced attrition." Vista runs the company like a 1980's company and has transformed a once vibrant organization with some of the best developers and support staff in the industry into an intern shop. I wish them the best, but they need experience. Also, below average and market pay and uncertainty do not make a great workplace! No matter how many "socials" you have."
"In the time I was at Greenway Medical Technologies (formerly Vitera Helathcare Solutions), there were no less than 3 mass layoffs, and I was included in the last one. Also included were many employees who had worked at the company for 10+ years and knew the company, products, and clients very well. Advice to management: your employees are your greatest asset. Take care of them, trust them, and utilize them to their fullest potential. Be loyal to them and they will in turn be loyal to you."
"I have worked for Greenway since 2009. When I started it was a private company and it was a great place to work. Decisions were made faster and there were a lot of freedoms in what technologies and personal decisions you chose. Then they went public and there were a lot of restrictions put in place. It was still a good company to work for, even though things took a little longer and budgets were tighter. Finally, in late 2013, the company sold to Vista Equity and merged. Now it's not worth it."
"I've worked for Greenway Medical Technology since 2011, the company and the culture before the buy-out was based on family and delivering the best service and product within the ambulatory healthcare marketplace."
"I have worked at Greenway for almost 2 years. I like it, but my current position isn't meeting my needs as a developer. I would like to learn more marketable skills and do actual development. I think it's a great place to work, but my personal needs and goals aren't currently being met."
"Unless you belong to the Carrollton Mafia this is not the place for you."
