"Living on borrowed time and running out of money! Gravitant is an interesting company where you will be well fed, paid well and have a strict 10am to 4pm type job setting as long as you can put up with unlimited politics, no progress and management indecision. Similar to a major Austin employer that went private, all of us employees are overpaid and underworked. Why? Management is fearful of losing staff and wants to appear like heros, no matter what. Company excels at powerpoint presentations and selling ideas through slides. Execution is 0% Product: The flagship cloudMatrix product does not work. Period. It's basically a repurposed product that the company had sold to Texas HHSC (called businessMatrix) in the mid 2000's, rebranded as cloudMatrix. Even the source code has the old stuff all over the place. The UI is from 2002, built on IceFaces and JSF and Java 5. IT leadership is reluctant to fundamentally change the product. It's mind blowing that a product meant for the cloud has almost no automation. A brokerage platform that cannot update prices from vendors even after 3-4 months after being published is blasphemy. The product modules don't talk to each other. Product backend is made up of band aid code. No investment in Micro services. Company has not evolved from consulting to product based. Gravitant was a vendor to HHSC and sold people services and a product to the state successfully. They got kicked out of the state and plan B was to take their product and rebrand it for cloud and get VC cash and eventually exit. Culture Founders have a godlike persona. CEO is very passionate and a visionary but cannot execute nor keep up promises to staff or customers. Every executive has a few suck-ups who they promote. If you are a YES man, then you can survive. If you are the type of person that wants to get involved in bickering and backstabbing and thrive in environments where blame game rules over results and execution, this is it. New ideas are rejected."
