"It's a great place to work, but hard to get in. You work with tons of smart and driven people, but that can mean it is hard to get ahead."

"Everyone can have an opinion on work, which can cause too many chefs in the kitchen slowing down progress. Sometimes things aren't thought through early enough."

"Improve velocity by decreasing barriers for release. Simplify APIs and systems to allow for quicker release of products/features."

"Study beforehand, and be honest and down to earth at the interview. Also, don't tell me I'm interviewing you incorrectly. If what I say is technically wrong, tell me, and be ready to explain to me or argue with me why that is."

"I wish our interview candidates are better than they are."

"I have absolutely no desire to run the show. So the things I do differently would probably be things I do worse. Much worse."

"I like the awesome perks, really smart people as co-workers, and opportunities to have a huge impact early in my career."

"Stand out, and be unconventional. Most importantly, come across as somebody the interviewer would want to work with, because chances are, if you're hired, they'll be your coworker."

"Compensation is not great, given the amount that I contribute."

"Put less emphasis on social, and more emphasis on building great products. Put less emphasis on short-term driven quarterly goals."

"The repetitive motion required by the job caused some injuries for my friends and myself."

"Keep the number the employees have to make one that they can reasonably make."

"It is possible to move up at Google, but it takes more time than you would probably expect."

"I feel like I spend my day babysitting systems, instead of actually selling the product. There are a lot of little things that get in my way that make it difficult to do my job."

"I would empower my direct employees to make them more excited about their day-to-day tasks. I would do away with the annoying daily tasks and get out of their way so they can do their job."
