"This company can really mess up people's relationships. My husband works all the time even on weekends. We don't have time for each other. Dog can't y'all give them aleast weekends off so they can have a life outside of this job. That's how people mess around on their mate."
"I do not recommend anyone working here. They do not have good management and they do not pay you very well unless you have been there 10 plus years. When things get tight the first thing they do is take from our pay. The route bidding is very unorganized and you will sit home for about 4 days a week not getting paid even after 4,5,6,7 years there because they let the top 27 (I don't know how they picked that number but there are about 90 drivers) drivers build their own routes and that leaves the rest of us to pick through the leftovers."
"“Bad Bosses - No Job Security, No Appreciation, No Work/Life Balance” Stay away from GSF if you enjoy having weekends off. You will be forced to work Saturday and Sunday, otherwise, you’ll be written up by management. Terrible Management, Poor Culture, Angry/Overworked Employees - Overall, this was an awful & disappointing company to work for."
"Golden State Foods is a worldwide, well managed, company that values its employees. It's a great place to work if you are a driver, warehouseman or supervisor. Hard work but very rewarding and always a challenge."
"I worked for GSF on a contract basis. The new CIO decided to bring the projects in house and not extend the contracts that are ending. Overall environment is good to work at. IT is not centralized or standardized so it is difficult to implement IT projects across the enterprise. There are huge security issues that have been outstanding for a long time. Good people, but since it is privately held, money for IT projects may not be available without many levels of approval."
