"Absolutely horrendous company to work for. If you want a career in semiconductor industry do not come to Globalfoundries."

"World's leading specialty foundry, with global facilities manufacturing semiconductor chips for a diverse set of customers. Good work culture, ok compensation. But struggling in a tough market with a lot of management churn."

"I’ve been working for GlobalFoundries for a little over 2 years. I have learned a lot from my colleagues and there are some very talented and friendly engineers working here. However, most of the management is not very good at what they do. A lot of times they hinder good work and progress and overall make poor decisions."

"I've worked at GF for about a year now, right out of grad school (PhD). Great pay, great team, good future outlook, good work-life balance, challenging projects and future works. Being young and hungry, this is a great place to be. You will learn a lot from semiconductor veterans. You will have to work hard but at the end of the day, it feels good that you are riding on this adventure to the unknown future where Moore's Law slowing down equals plenty of opportunity (if you adapt and play the cards right)."

"1) I am an employee in Fab 8, GF in Malta, NY. This is a relatively young company with turbulent early years. However, things start to settle and morale has been improving. The outlook feels very positive. I indeed feel that GF has a lot of potential and opportunities. 2) Pay and bonus are generous. When normalized to the living expenses in upstate NY, my pay as someone just fresh out of college is very generous. 3) Work-life balance is there. But if you want to work hard, there are a lot of hard working people too. Some discuss about their works passionately in the office area. I like the atmosphere. 4) Some engineers are veterans in semiconductor field. For someone young like myself, I believe that I can learn a lot of stuff from this place. Well, generally, I feel lucky to get all this stuff above and to have the opportunity to work in this company."
