"So many unpaid hours are expected of you, and you are on the roads at all hours by yourself, and it really takes over your life, so if you have family this job really does not suit you. There is too much smothering near the top and people just tread on each other rather than do their job."

"To listen to their volunteers"

"I loved serving and working for girls, raising funds to support programs. I learned to write grants and established new business relationships."

"Make sure you know all of the job description and how to solve problems within this organization."

"The administrative atmoshphere was one of lies and deception and backstabbing. It was hard to work out issues because you never knew if things were held in confidence."

"Hire honest people. Don't pick and choose who to be nice to. Treat everyone as equals and stop the gossip."

"I worked for the director and had a lot of freedom to run my department."

"I have the privilege to see the Girl Scout affective programs and to construct a new advance software program for printing and graphic production (Prismaprepare) that allows girl scouts to save on printed materials."

"Working in such a large group of women is very difficult. There is gossip, slander and downright nastiness. CEO has a closed door policy - you can't even get 5 minutes with her without an appointment."

"Bring back ROWE, give employees ADA training."

"The members of the committee and commitment of the movement. As a volunteer, the members need to work together to create the best environment available in order to get the work done with a minimum of support from staff. I enjoy sharing the history of the movement and educating others about the positive benefits of Girl Scouting"

"The only recommendation is to have Girl Scouting experience as well as a positive attitude."

"Aside from the staff being over loaded, everyone works together to the best of their abilities to create the most positive benefit for the girls."

"Several that pertain to each committee. Each committee is made up of staff and volunteers who must learn to work together and carry their own culture."
