"Make sure you are best friends with the Director of IT, Brian Godfrey, since he only hires his best friend of 30 years to replace employees he didn't train."

What don't you like about working at GFI Software?

"No opportunity for job growth and expansion. Also did not feel valued as an employee and made to feel that I was replaceable on a whim."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To increase communication between supervisor and their employees. Also to communicate expectations more clearly."

What do you like about working at GFI Software?

"No real furthering of knowledge. Support is now on the bottom of the feeding chain instead of all employees being on an even playing ground."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"As long as you are not going for support, I guess it could be okay."

What don't you like about working at GFI Software?

"Support is on the bottom of the food chain. No opportunities to further knowledge. Virtually no co-worker interaction as we all are now separated by cubicle walls and lunches are extremely limited to the point where if you wanted to interact with your co-workers, there is virtually no opportunity."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Actually listen to what employees have to say and listen to their input. Support is one of the only departments that directly engages customers and their common issues."

"The people I work with are always eager to help. The company is always looking for ways to improve and is goal oriented. This is a great motivating factor for my to look for ways I can improve and move forward with my goals as well."

"Be confident in what you bring to the table. Be HONEST. GFI is a company built by some pretty intelligible people and want the best for the company. Be reliable. If they feel like they can count on you, they will and you will be noticed for it."

What don't you like about working at GFI Software?

"Don't really have any complaints. More of suggestions to make things better. Allow techs to be more specific instead of so diverse. The more focused they are on specific products, the more efficient and confident they will be. Make it a scheduled effort to reward those who excel in their responsibilities. Make them WANT to come to work everyday."

"Always remember to keep your people valuable. Help them feel that they are a value and a key component to the company."
