"I worked for Getty Images since 2017. It's a decent work environment with good benefits but has lacked any concrete vision in product development for some time now."
"The people and the work/ life balance are what separates Getty Images from other places I have worked. Initial compensation is good, but raises are poor and there is no bonus program."
"I worked for a year at Getty and found the shop a little chaotic. They have gone through 4 reorganizations in 21 months. They have drastically changed the task process injecting the Agile process for organizing workloads. The IT support groups are under staffed and this causes shortcuts and cowboys doing anything to get things done which causes more issues and cycle of support issues."
"I had a very good run at Getty Images. It's a good group of people."
"Where management manages to make the company a bad working experience."
What do you like about working at Getty Images?
"Fantastic product and some of the people that work here that really want the company to succeed will work their hearts out for our customers, to deliver the very best media we can."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Working in the Technological department in this company should ONLY be viable if you have no self-respect for yourself and you need the $. Otherwise, keep looking and god speed to you!"
What don't you like about working at Getty Images?
"Management is promoted from within, all while causing inept, inadequate, unprofessional middle management, to be promoted to more powerful positions while not learning how to manage people. Quite sad when one is unhappy and tired of being treated like junk, to have HR harass you if they find your resume posted elsewhere while looking for a better position. And if you try and defend your position the answer is always the same: BE thankful you have a job! Or my favorite one; If you do not like it... leave!. The Technology department is such a reprehensible place to work in, that 80% of my peers are looking for positions while 'directors' try and impose their feelings via HR unto people, so they feel important and useful."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management needs to wake up and provide a means through which employees get to provide feedback on managers to upper management. Although with so many personal friends in the management layers, you could go 3 levels high and still be admonished by your own manager AFTER they know that you blew the whistle. Why spend millions of Dollars on applications that do not work, nor that they can be properly utilized in this company Improve your employee relations and treat employees like human beings instead of numbers."
