"I believe in the company vision and standards. I have worked for GP for only 3 months. After they purchased our company, over a dozen of the highest ups came into our facility from every division, management, engineering, safety, environmental, IT, records management. Every person that came through believes in the principals of the Market Based Management that the company preaches and lives it too. "It was a good job with fulfilling opportunities. I had opportunities to make a difference for the plant and the employees."

"Ask all the questions possible so you know the expectations of the job and the enviroment."

"Corporate management was based in energy. It was often time consuming to get these building products operations, markets and opportunities understood by this group."

"Develop upper management with an understanding of the building products industry."

"Good people. I have decision rights to do my job effectively. I get great satisfaction out of working in the IT field managing people and projects."

"Know what you are getting into when you decide to come to work for Koch. We have a huge turnover rate since bought out and being in a small area we never had this in the past. We have people accept jobs and within a year or less they are gone."

What don't you like about working at Georgia-Pacific?

"Koch culture and the way it is managed. Not much emphasis from a production facility standpoint."

"Treat your people the way you want to be treated."

"Read Charles Koch's book, Science of Success. His principles for virtues and talents expectations are leading edge."

"Lack of progressive lean leadership. Lean is not recognized as a tool for continuous improvement."

"Adopt change, be ready to understand industry changes and what has worked well with other companies."

"Give the full description of the job with one or two of the employees that are currently doing the job sit in on the interview. To see if they are fit for the job."

"We cannot wear shorts in the summer due to safety reasons. Which is very understandable."

"I have no suggestions. They are doing a great job and we are well taken care of."
