What do you like about working at Genesis HealthCare?

"The staff I worked with were dedicated professionals. The working conditions were favorable. The chance for advancement was adequate for what I wanted to do although there was a moratorium on the advancement track I wanted. The orientation program was very well set up and as a new employee I was mentored all the way through by the ADON. The computer system for some of the state mandated work was a great help."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be yourself! Honesty is always the way to go and don't bite off more than you can chew no matter how good it sounds."

What don't you like about working at Genesis HealthCare?

"The amount of paperwork especially when it was time for state visits. The attempt at micromanaging especially with the regional vice president."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Let the management at each institution be more responsible for the work that is done at their center. Help is fine, but micromanagement can be very detrimental to good morale."

"Be patient. Genesis and RHS are moving forward, and growing fast, get on board changes are occurring."

"Employees are not compensated in salary for their knowledge as clinicians."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Continuing moving in the direction that I see, which is (positive). Start looking at how to improve management image with employees."
