General Dynamics Land Systems Employee

"I have worked for GDLS for ten years. For the first five, I counted myself among the happiest and best-paid engineers in Michigan. For the past five, I have been giving back that higher salary through increasingly insulting raises. In the past year, I received the same pathetic raise as inflation has soared. To make matters worse, the executives forced their personal politics on the workforce, alienating at least half of us with lies, propaganda, and overbearing pressure to commit acts of political compliance."

"I’ve worked for GDLS for 14 years. If you are looking for a job/company that challenges you, gives you purpose, and makes you feel part of something much bigger than yourself, GDLS is it."

"General Dynamics is a strong company, but the Land Systems and Turret Division is fading away. There are a lot of cliques and that's the way you move up."

"Company could have done a much better implementation of closing our facility down and subsequent layoff of almost all of the engineering expertise of a significant portion of future business. The company should have reduced ranks at Headquarters as it was evident that engineers and management have no clue about product design and development in the international marketplace."
