"Stay away. GE's benefits are not what they were and this is a depressing environment to work in."

What don't you like about working at GE Energy?

"Upper management has very little respect for the technical people that make the wheels go 'round. They care little about anything but image and it shows in the fact that our business has countless quality issues that are not solved."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get the right people for a job instead of a friend you had on OMLP that has no idea about the product we produce."

What do you like about working at GE Energy?

"8 hrs work per day, 2 off's in a week and Infrastructure is good."

"GE is a very good company. You are lucky if you get a job."

"I dont like companies which lay off employees for Economical/Finance reason. It is no where concerned with the performance of the employee."

"My sincere advise is make sure you should not lose good resource for Budget reasons."

"Nuclear control retrofit project and system reliability analysis. Certainly, some Oil and Gas projects are perfect for using my knowledge."

"Be aggressive. bring new ideas to the company and keep focus all the time as the bar to measure employee performance is rising all the time"

"the company culture, we learned a lot. we feel GE a a big school for most of employees"

"saimplification is better, too many reporting layers. Taking to long to make a business decision"

"Talk to people actually doing the job you are up for, and working for the hiring manager."

"Market position declining/lagging behind competitors, fair amount of infighting between silos, raises kindo small, no bonuses/stock options except for top 1-5% of employees"

"Reorganize siloed functions, eliminate conflicting metrics, get more aggressive/ less risk averse"
