"Ask to talk with actual employees one on one to find out what they like and don't like about working for GE Aviation. Ask what frustrates them and what they enjoy and what they deal with the most."

What don't you like about working at GE Capital?

"GE Aviation is terribly inefficient with excessive management, poorly crafted time tables, and an assumption that you do not have anything else to do but work in your life."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get better requirements from the customer. Bid properly on a project. Propose a time table for project completion that is realistic."

"Opportunity to become a manager is encouraged, if that is your career aspiration. I would like to be a tech fellow or technical team lead."

"The organization is not as flexible as it could be... but then again, GE behaves like a typical large American corporation."

What don't you like about working at GE Capital?

"Layoff was not handled as well as it should. Engineering talent was considered expendable with no effort to provide viable alternatives to remain in the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The Aviation Systems Management is not well informed with regard to the talent of any operating entities outside the Core Engine Systems group."
