"GE purchased our company (Smiths Aerospace) one year before they disbanded my job. They had their own way of doing things which was very different from what we were used to.They did not understand our scale."

"Wait until the economy recovers. Funds are hard to find and there could be more lay offs."

"I was laid off because GE was having difficulty getting funds and lost triple A rating. The company stopped all funding for 2 months and then exited half of the market in an effort to eliminate risk and regain triple A rating."

"Keep the most valuable people and don't eliminate a position and not consider others for other positions."
