"It was a pleasure working for Garten and I fully believed in their mission of helping others live happier and healthier lives. So much so that I made many positive changes to my own life in order to better live the mission and represent the brand. Unfortunately due to circumstances around COVID-19 affecting current business they were unable to meet their obligations to new hires and our relationship concluded. The company is not currently in a any position to offer career advancement, and leadership needs to be more transparent with the state of their business challenges in order to re-build trust. As long as employees don't return to the office there will be a lot of challenges fulfilling their core business model."
"Great company and fabulous place to work."
"garten (formerly known as Oh My Green) is a fun, collaborative place to work. It is a startup in the truest sense, which allows for many positives but also a few negatives. You have direct access to leaders and you can make a real impact by having a hand in the creation of foundations and processes. But because foundations and processes are being formed in real time, you have to be creative and willing to jump into the unknown. The lack of formal training and/or processes can leave some feeling a bit lost, but as long as you come in with an open mind and a willingness to learn, you will be successful. In addition, it's commonplace for employees to wear multiple hats and jump in wherever possible. This may seem like a downside to some, but I loved this piece of the job, as it allowed me to gain experience in areas of the company that I wasn't quite as familiar with. garten doesn't have as many of the flashy incentives as other tech startups, but they are truly grounded in beliefs that I think most people can get behind - the importance of health and wellbeing. Finally, one of the biggest benefits is that I have never been surrounded by leaders who were so willing and eager to listen and learn from their teams. They truly care and embody the mission of centering the workplace around wellbeing."
"Great Job & co-workers, unfortunately, due to commodities pricing and a change in federal support, Garten Services is in severe financial trouble."
