"For as long as I have worked at Gamestop I have had more good times than any other job I have been employed at. It has had its rough times but they are very few and far between. My fellow co-workers are very knowledgeable of their product and are happy to help any and all customers. The overall environment is just a wonderful place to work."

"Fight for your salary... Being someone who has hired many managers, it is the companies #1 priority to find someone younger and cheaper for the job, even at the expense of experience."

"Terrible pay and workload, non-existent HR or employee affairs departments, nazI like policies. Pre-owned sales are destroying the gaming industry from the inside out. My 2500 sq foot, 3 million dollar store was given same hiring/payroll parameters as the 800 sq foot $500,000 dollar store."

"Take the company with a grain of salt. They will not step up to the plate for you, and do not keep employee or customer needs high on their list of priorities."

"Now that this is a serious company that is very focused on the bottom line as it should be. During my time there I interviewed many people who thought that the job consisted only of playing games and talking about games. It can be a fun place to work if you keep in mind that you are a sales person and manager first and gamer second."

"Job became a series of threats about losing your job for not meeting goals that I considered unrealistic. The company expected growth in sales of about ten percent while opening many new stores, a lot of which competed with each other for the same customer base."

"Try to manage by positive reinforcement a little more. Don't allow district manager to try to intimidate managers with termination on a regular basis."
