"Was given free range to follow intuition in the early days of desktop publishing. Grew out of composition department from just me to 24/7 3 building department with sales over $7,000,000 a year. It was a fun ride."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I am sure that the company culture has changed by now. There were many pockets of progressive thinking and many very good people. The owner, if he is still the sole-proprietor, I am sure must have matured or at least succumb to the facts of the limits and contributions possible by each individual and that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Be yourself."

"Often felt like owner was pitting departments and managers against each other. He felt stress made people work harder. Told me we he let me go that he wanted to be solely responsible for the success or failure of company and resented my success (at least he was honest)."

"Realistically, in a company of over 1000, or of any size, no one individual is responsible for its success or failure. It is a team effort, each contributing as best they can. Each making decisions, every day, that effect the success or failure of jobs, relationships, the company as a whole."
