"Be friendly & logical. Know how to deal with problems, either employee or guest related. Otherwise, interviews are easy."

What don't you like about working at Friendly's Ice Cream?

"The hours are crazy and never set for a manager. The upper management is out of touch with what it takes to run a restaurant. The majority of employees are teenagers in high school that either don't have work ethic, or don't have time to produce, so the managers are often stuck with a heavy work load. Whatever the team doesn't finish is one the manager, including closing down every part of the restaurant. They schedule the least amount of employees possible, sometime too little."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make sure you have an open availability & do not mind working hard. This is not a management position where you can sit back & let your crew do the work & only come out for guest services every once in a while. You need to be able to stay on your toes, think fast, & solve issues quickly."
