What do you like about working at Freightliner?

"I enjoyed working with the production staff and resolving issues that arose with new products. These issues were often challenging and dynamic."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be open minded to the Daimler way of doing business. Their intent is to design quality into the product, and have the manufacturing engineers and production staff work out the problems as they arise. Ber prepared to respond to questions about how you would go about accomplishing this."

What don't you like about working at Freightliner?

"I, unfortunately, found that the new management brought into my department was not proactive regarding project management, and not supportive of new ideas."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that they be more supportive of proactivity in project management and micromanage the Manufacturing Engineers less. Also I would suggest that they follow through better with commitments and obligations."

"The freedom to move between departments and work with a lot of different people on many different problems."

"Good company to work for with excellent manufacturing knowledge but unstable in the US market as they are moving manufacturing to Mexico."

What don't you like about working at Freightliner?

"The maintenance group would refuse work and the union would sometimes support them based on political agendas."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be honest with your teams and they will support you to the end."
