What do you like about working at Freightliner?

"I enjoyed working with the production staff and resolving issues that arose with new products. These issues were often challenging and dynamic."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be open minded to the Daimler way of doing business. Their intent is to design quality into the product, and have the manufacturing engineers and production staff work out the problems as they arise. Ber prepared to respond to questions about how you would go about accomplishing this."

What don't you like about working at Freightliner?

"I, unfortunately, found that the new management brought into my department was not proactive regarding project management, and not supportive of new ideas."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that they be more supportive of proactivity in project management and micromanage the Manufacturing Engineers less. Also I would suggest that they follow through better with commitments and obligations."

What do you like about working at Freightliner?

"The freedom to move between departments and work with a lot of different people on many different problems."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Good company to work for with excellent manufacturing knowledge but unstable in the US market as they are moving manufacturing to Mexico."

What don't you like about working at Freightliner?

"The maintenance group would refuse work and the union would sometimes support them based on political agendas."

"Be honest with your teams and they will support you to the end."

"Working at Houston Freightliner has been a good learning experience in cross trained as a diesel mechanic. I was sent to school which has been a great learing tool."

What don't you like about working at Freightliner?

"At this point and time I do not like that the hours have been drastically cut due to the economy."

"Employee focus"

"There is good job security with proven performance."

"There is very little room for growth in career advancement. I believe in taking care of the customer first."

"Take care of the customer first, customer retention makes it eaisier to do business in the long run instead of having to genterate new business."

"There was nothing I did not like about the company. I left for what was deemed to be a better opportunity for me."

"None, they are doing a good job."

"none. the only way they could make that job better would be not to move labor out of the USA but where is the money in that"
