"I have just recently joined the Fred's pharmacy network and this is the best job I have ever had in my 40 plus years of pharmacy practice. The key to this happiness is that most all of upper management are pharmacists themselves. They know what it's like to meet the day to day demands of a retail pharmacist. They have the buying power and financial stability of a pharmacy chain, but the compassion and personal touch of a small hometown pharmacy. The techs know our goals and work together as partners to help us achieve them. Our customers become our personal friends and rely on us to take care of their personal healthcare needs. Unlike the big chains, we are not just a robot processing scripts on a mechanical belt where the only concern is the bottom line. Our patients love us, and our greatest reward is the smile on their face knowing we treated them as real people with real concerns and our answers and products increased their quality of life.
