What do you like about working at Freddie Mac?

"The size of the bank is right for someone trying to make a difference - Easily manageable. Though built on 75 year old company value, the management is receptive, reasonable and ready to act on new ideas irrespective of who the idea is coming from. There is less of corporate air and drama in the rest of the employees also. Simple and smart people overall. Friendly overall. Additionally, they are very risk averse from a business point of view, which as the stock market proves, is not a bad idea. Above all, a good place to make good friends or well-wishers who try to get into your shoes to understand and help if needed."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Keep it cool, real and nice."

What don't you like about working at Freddie Mac?

"Sometimes the process and policy can be cumbersome. Sometimes, it may seem like missing the forest for the bushes. Some of the employees are a lot worried about their jobs, which is a diversion from the work in hand."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The management should help the employees clear their fears of loosing the job. Critical decisions should be based on independent inputs and independent factfinding with conflict of interests, human behavioral analysis and independent root cause analysis into the issue. This will raise the motivation levels of the employees."
