What do you like about working at Ford Motor?

"The company itself gives workers all they need to excel both at work and in furthering education, they are progressive and want their workers to appreciate their jobs enough that they produce quality products on their own volition."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The company has changed, and rather quickly, there may still be holdouts to the entitlement idea that they worked there for x number of years and they deserve promotions, but the climate at Ford has changed, they are much leaner, and I don't know the current culture as I have been out for over 3 years (as of 2011) but from what I hear from friends still working there is encouraging."

What don't you like about working at Ford Motor?

"While I was there, the changing climate of a 100+ year old company with a legacy of entitlement jobs has changed to a leanness, but that was not an easy transition, it took time and in the process I accepted an educational buyout, but I wish I had stayed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Working for Ford is like working for Mom and Dad, they try to take care of you, they want you to work earnestly for them and this can work, just weed out those who spoil the harmony. I enjoyed my 9 years there and thank you for the educational buyout, but I wish I felt I could have stayed, now Ford is doing pretty well, and I am glad of it!"

"I'm familiar with their processes for 10+ years. They are very close to my home. I like being part of their ever-growing in efficiency IT strategy."
