"I had a good amount of free time, but the workload varied a lot. Some days I struggled to fill a time-sheet while other days I worked on reports into the evening. A field engineer has to travel throughout the Southeast. Management was rather feckless because they promote from within the ranks of engineers. Training classes and meetings were profoundly boring and useless. So glad to be retired!!"
"FM Global is about 5-10 years behind others in the insurance industry with regards to IT practices, making it difficult to navigate as someone coming from a fortune 100 insurance company."
"FM Global as an employer is a very strong company. Stable and with a strong business model, it's a great place to set up shop. The people are nice, competent and very supportive with opportunity and flexibility to learn what it takes to accomplish each job. Opportunities for career growth are limited primarily by your location flexibility, as many operations centers have very stable employee bases."
