"The only thing I don't like about working at Fluor is the layoff. I know that the layoff is the nature of the business."

"I didn't like the micromanagement. I once heard they called us Sept. Alcatraz. I will leave the rest to your imagination."

"Promises made should have been kept, especially when the employee handbook and ethic department state that everything you say will be kept confidential. In return, I was retaliated against and got fired for speaking out for my department."

"When the big layoff happened in the 1980s, it was depressing and sad to see someone go."

"I really don't have anything to say other than keep up with the spirit of teamwork."

"Just be yourself. Let them do as much of the talking as possible. The people who do the hiring like to hear themselves talk. Brush up on your Spanish, as this division of the company is well over 80% Hispanic."

"This company, or at least the portion of the company I worked for, is very clannish. Promotions were not necessarily given according to merit or capabilities. It is more not what you know, but who you know. My experience was also, that management did not stand behind their personnel."

"They didn't anticipate the recession as well as their competition."

"There is a large project scale with good knowledge systems available."

"There is too much work share with global offices, such as India, Phillipines, etc."

"Train new employees and be upfront when hiring"

"I liked the variety of responsibilities. The method of moving on to new projects when one was completed with our resumes using Lotus Notes. I worked in the Legal Department and on projects. I could help out other projects when I had down time."

"It's a great company to be on board with and I would advise others to apply."

"The company went downhill after 9-11."
