Florida Department of Revenue Employee

"I've worked with Florida Department of Revenue for 4+ years as a Tax Auditor. At Department, you are trained intensely on performing audits, handling taxpayers, working with accounting software, and managing your work. It is a good place to learn and get trained. The job had a good work-life balance."

Florida Department of Revenue Employee

"I loved the job, the meet and deal with business people at their place of business. I enjoy auditing and also assisting businesses in complying with the law. However, the Department of Revenue does not foster a positive work environment. Management by exception is the primary evaluation method used. Positive employee contributions are rarely recognized and never rewarded. Also, the pay is extremely substandard for an accounting position and the turnover rate very high. Most leave within 3 years."
