"I've worked for Fisk Alloy for many years. The benefits are great, starting pay is decent. However, I would not recommend employment to this company as more than just having a stable job for a temporary amount of time. There is intense shift rivalry, as well as segregation of management/office-workers with the floor workers - this is an understatement. Supervision is very poor, with current supervisors NOT actually individuals who have mastered floor operations as well as system operations and can lead by hands-on example, but rather, they lead through power and threat. It isn't directly known what qualifies them to be supervisors. The people are kept in line with threat of warnings, suspensions and termination. Problems faced will not be taken seriously or even relayed to higher powers, but dismissed or shrugged off. Working hard and doing your best does not get you recognized or rewarded in any way and many people have been employed for decades with very little or next to nothing to show for it. Yearly reviews are performed but not accurate, with a 99% focus on mistakes made. Over the years, most employees discuss their reviews privately and have found that just about everyone is average or below, with maybe 1 or 2 people given better. Yearly raises are often only cents. Working is often seen as "do your hours and go home", rinse and repeat, because there is no difference recognized between individuals who really work as hard as they can, to those who do very little or shirk responsibilities actively. Asking any individual if they are happy will have a guaranteed response - no. Many shifts do not even speak good English, but there is no effort to post company notices in multiple languages - communication is also extremely poor. Overall, I have spent years hoping that things can improve, but am still waiting"
