What do you like about working at Firstsource?

"The only good thing was my co-workers. I worked with an amazing group of people. Helping the patients was rewarding but that part was greatly overshadowed by how awful the company was to work for."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Yes...DON'T!!! Looking back, I would rather have been working for minimum wage at a job I liked than work for this company."

What don't you like about working at Firstsource?

"EVERYTHING. My co-workers would concur (they can't wait to get out of there). The working conditions were worse than awful. They had 2 - 3 of us working in a converted E.R. closet. This closet had a rigged air conditioning pipe that blew freezing cold air in without a damper. We barely fit in there and then we were supposed to screen large families in there as well. We received no protection from the sick patients either and were exposed to countless diseases and germs inside this small closet. One employee was out sick for weeks because he contracted meningitis in this way. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing; everything is extremely unorganized and there are no set rules for anything. You learn you did something wrong because you were reprimanded, not by being taught from the beginning. Despite the lack of job training, we were micro-managed to the extreme. We were asked to do hours upon hours of administrative work on top of all our patient work, which would have been okay if there was some organization to it and we were trained properly. Instead, we were asked to do the same work countless times and redo it multiple times because we didn't do it right (again, training needed, and not changing the procedure every month). Oh...the list could go on and on. I seriously regret ever accepting the position, the only reason they even have people willing to do the work is because they pay decent. But then they expect you to put up with all their B.S."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay attention to what is going on with your employees. Actually have some compassion and be attentive to how badly you are squashing employee morale. Pay more attention to the human side of this job, not just the amount of money you're making."
