What do you like about working at FirstGroup America?

"I really love the company itself; I have just moved to a Payroll roll, where the staff is very dry. I like the benefits a bit; though they arent the best. I save a little on parking and get holidays off."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Great company through and through, and there are a lot of great people to work with or for. Just don't take a job you're overqualified for just for a job and expect it to be spectacular. I would still suggest it to a friend"

What don't you like about working at FirstGroup America?

"Corporate payroll was a world of difference in attitudes, expectations, and management philosophies. Management is way over the top and unfriendly or helpfull. I can never work extra. Offered some small macros to speed up our excel processing and was yelled at for the offer. The company could be more lenient about their 9 month policy of one position before you can apply for another in certain situations. I'd stay if I could get back into IT"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My direct supervisor says he doesnt know how to be a boss to he just repeats to me what the VP sends to him. I would tell my VP to get his manager into Management classes, and building teams classes. I'd also tell him to thinik for him self more, he told me He likes being a parrot"
