"Loved the opportunities and challenges. The worst part was seeing un-necessary death. The bombing in OKC was the most devastating scene I had ever worked. During those 12 days of 12 hour shifts, all we could do was recover, not rescue. That was really hard for all of us to swallow."
"I loved the work schedule. It allowed me the time to fulfill another career along the lines of safety. The ability to serve others and make a difference in someone else's life, was and is very rewarding. The only thing I disliked was seeing the unnecessary injuries and deaths. Like the Federal Building bombing."

"I like the smell of the mornings because being a wildland firefighter is Exciting, challenging, fun & not everyone can do it."

"Having a background in construction sales as well as instillation helps tremendiously, so Work hard and your dreams will come true."
What don't you like about working at Southern Pueblos Agency?
"The only drawback of the summer work is it is only work in the summer"

"More hours of Learning on the job as we can get a better understanding of the work instead of I the classroom."

"be prepared for giving up your weekendsthe pay is not what it should be at what we perform"

"it is a part time positionthere is time spent away from family on weekends"

"make the shifts 24 hours not 16 hours max per day"
