"I discovered my love for finance at Fifth Third. My initial onboarding was promising, insightful and encouraging, I have met some incredible individuals at Fifth Third, many who have shaped my path in success. I have encountered such intelligent employees at the bank who have amazing ideas; but unfortunately all of those ideas go unheard. Fifth Third may have taught me so much in regards to finance and the mortgage process, but they have also taught me what is wrong with large corporations. As someone who worked alongside the underwriters I was amazed at the amount of workload they took on yet never received help. This led to mass delays in the processing of all equity loans, almost doubling the time. In a time of need, focus is key and Fifth Third continues to shift its focus in areas that are not aligned with the values they stand for."

"I have worked for 5/3 bank since 2019. During that time I have learned a great deal about loans. I love my immediate co workers. I have a flexible manager. The company as a whole is great with their customers and is very sales focused. They are so great with sales they lose a little focus on their employees as a whole. But I do love my own manager."

"Find out exactly waht happened to the employee that was there ahead of you that you are replacing. Ask for the training schedule and find out exactly when you are accountable for production and what the production history has been for that location."

What don't you like about working at Fifth Third Bank?

"Goals were based on forcing fee based products down customers' throats. Also, no marketing whatsoever. Seemed like company wanted to be like a big bank but didn't spend the money on resources to do so. Put the burden of corporate marketing onto shoulders of retail employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pick a direction. Be like a small community bank and servcie needs of customers that are not product based or be like a big national bank, spend the money and force customers to take your way or the highway."

"Standout in a positive way and talk about your accomplishments that go beyond your duties."

"Be prepared to work weekends if you cannot achieve the nearly impossible goals that they have for you."

"The treatment of their employees."

"Listen to their employees and fix what's wrong."

What do you like about working at Fifth Third Bank?

"Professional environment but still friendly and personable, not cold. Many advancement opportunities. Great benefits. Ok hours but that is the life of a banker or anyone in a financial market, you have to have a late night or two here and there, it's just the type of market you cater too!!! Several locations, good communication and education as well for employees."

"Yes, you need to be confident and aggressive... this is not a position to hold back on an interview. If that's not you, go home."

"That I no longer do. Poor market when I got in so was laid off :("
