"I love the freedom and unique experiences that go along with traveling from job to job. I enjoy working with many different people. The thing I value the most is learning to improvise and depend on my own skill set to resolve complex situations I encounter in the field with limited access to resources."

"There was plenty of freedom to setup and perform the required testing, withing standard parameters, without constant suppervision. The instructions and expectations were expressed clearly and completely. However, at the time I was there, the high voltage test equipment was limited and outdated."

"Love my customers. Love the freedom to set my own schedule. Tough to support customers without the tools to do the job. Help desk can be destructive due to poor training when remoting into machines. Customers complain of help desk support. Software image/re-image big negative. Looking to find a company that is growing so tools and support is available."

"I love being able to help my customers and making them smile after a long and frustrating ride with technology. I take pride in my work. What I hate the most, is when my job changes from a technical professional to a hardware jockey. I want to fix problems or manage a team, not break fix only."

"Being a field service technician has its benefits and set-backs. As a field service technician you are granted the ability to make your own schedule and manage your own time. A set-back can be that if you don't have time to finish a project by the close of the day you must stay to complete your project. Time restraints usually mean you do not get an extra day to complete a task if needed."

"I enjoy the challenges that are put before me. I like having problems to solve. It is always something new and different every day. Unfortunately, I am not required to be very creative, at least not in the traditional sense. I do not get to write, draw, or design anything of particular merit. I have worked on only two things of major weight at this company, one being a team logo, and the other a pumpkin sculpture for a Halloween carving contest (I earned 1st place)."

"I love helping people with their issues no matter how trivial it may seem. That look they get when you simply restart their computer and they think you are some sort of divine being is really fulfilling."

"I loved working with the team I worked with and our clients we supported. We always got the job done for our clients. One thing that needs work is with communication to our teams from other levels of IT. This past year I had a great review, like other years, and this year I received increase in my wages, where only one or two did also, our team had about ten people on it from different locations. I loved learning new technology and ways of using it."

"Being in the tech service industry it is hard to find a good steady job. The market is over saturated with hipsters that think because they took a computer apart once they are now an expert in the field. Good technicians have come up through the ranks and have developed skills and troubleshooting techniques that far outweigh that little piece of paper that mommy and daddy paid for."
