"I worked at Fidelity for nearly 15 years. They do an excellent job in taking care of employees and compensating them well. Great efforts are made to to stay customer focused both in service and reliability. I would (and have) recommended to friends and family to work for them."

What do you like about working at Fidelity Investments?

"Great benefits. They paid for my health membership. Young workforce."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be customer oriented. Show what you can do for the customer and have examples of how you have done it in the past."

What don't you like about working at Fidelity Investments?

"Taking calls one right after another with no break day can make a person go nuts. Spacing out the calls a little bit would have been appreciated. Also didn't like having my breaks and lunches mandatory at certain times, if I wanted to take lunch or a break at a different time it was like pulling teeth to make it happen alot of times."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Less literal games and more professional speak. They had a lot of events that were mandatory to attend during the workday that involved basketball hoops and jeapordy games. I'm wasn't at work to play games and it wasn't enjoyable rather a bit insulting to say the least. I would also recognize people for their 1 year and on anniversary with the company with a gift and acknowledgment for their work. I did not feel acknowledged for my time and service to the company over 4 years. That's the first thing I noticed and something that made me want to leave."

What don't you like about working at Fidelity Investments?

"They treat you as a number, not a person, not caring what you have personally or want. They add responsibility after responsibility without any increase in pay and they don't promote based on performance but on sucking up. Also, they micro manage even the best employees and don't listen to ideas or suggestions to help customers and the workplace itself."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Increase pay equal to what other similar firms are paying. Listen to your employees and if someone is a great employee, promote them or at least show some appreciation. Also, the advice they give is neither timely nor useful, they treat their customers as numbers, not individuals, and they push products based solely on profit even if it is the wrong product. I know this is a business but at least try to help people who are trusting you with their life savings."

Procurement Coordinator

What do you like about working at Fidelity Investments?

"Compensation and family oriented."

What don't you like about working at Fidelity Investments?

"Advancement opportunity not as fair as I thought it should be."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Open minded to individuals wouldn't normally give a chance to."
