"The customers were the best part. Also, some of the co-workers."
What don't you like about working at FedEx?
"Where do I begin? The pay scale was the worst ever. It was really good before FedEx came in, but when they took over, my pay was cut drastically. Another factor was the fact that Management had no clue as to how a center really worked. Sure, in theory a center worked simply, but in the center, there are so many different variables that can cause you to not follow protocol."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I wish they would increase their pay scale. That would allow them to hire good people that are knowledgeable about copying. I have read many different reviews of FedEx Kinko's. Many of them are point on."

What do you like about working at FedEx?
"The people I worked with were good people at heart, you really get the sense of a team there, unfortunately you get this sense because it sometimes feels like it's your crew against the pushy customers."
What don't you like about working at FedEx?
"The stress. Turn around mandated by HQ weren't realistic in many cases for New York City. I'm sure the timetables work great for suburban life, but the city life is much more fast paced and people are edgy 9 times out of 10. My opinion is giving out more ample turn around times and getting the job done right the first time than telling the customer it will be ready practically when ever they want, getting the job done incorrectly because whoever took the order was already doing 5 other things and didn't get everything right or the person working on the job is doing 4 others so they don't take the time to read the job instructions. Some of this can be chalked up to the competence of the team and/or certain worker, but the general fast paced stressed environment is the underlying factor of mistakes, in my humble opinion."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Care for your employees, find out who is consistently messing things up and determine if it is really them or the pressure they are put under, and either send them to another store or give them the ax. Make sure you show your appreciation for those employees who really know what they are doing and give them the access to move them up if they enjoy working the company."
