"I worked for Estrella Mountain Community College in 2018 as a math tutor. The work environment was very pleasant, everyone seemed to really care about their job and the teachers would even come down to the tutoring center to help guide the tutors so we could have a better feel for what students were doing in the classroom. I could tell they really cared about the students and wanted to help them understand not just for the class they were currently taking, but also for future classes. This experience also helped me cement my understanding of mathematics. Once you can teach someone a concept and they understand it, then I think you have truly understood the concept yourself. I would recommend EMCC to anyone looking for a tutoring job."
