I went to work at Essilor Of America two years after my heart transplant. They didn't know until several years later. For years, the average life expectancy of a heart transplant recipient was reported and posted on numerous medical internet sites as TEN (10) years. I worked at Essilor for 8 years and received positive annual reviews and raises. Strangely though, at on 1month into my 9th year I was informed that I would be changing and rotating shifts. when the UTSW Transplant Co-Ordinator advised that this could raise the risk of organ rejection, Essilor relented and instead offered me a position reporting to a supervisor (same level peer) that had received a negative evaluation and limited raise due to her refusal / inability to interact with both myself and whose shift work production had increased / improved during periods when I ran her shift during her temporary absence. I will always believe that I was forced to resign in order for essilor to avoid Essilor's anticipation of insurance costs and premiums. This company can never expect a loyal employee base as it has no loyalty or regard for it's employees. I believe that if I had access to personnel files and inter-office memos along with a good lawyer, there would be no Essilor Of America.Could go on with some many things it's not funny.

4.5 As a Data Analytics Intern, my key responsibilities were to understand and analyze data in Customer Master Data Management, build reports and data models conforming to the data governance standards and policies. As a team player, the opinion of every member was counted as the perception towards data was different for every team. I primarily worked with the Essilor Preferred Rewards team. The experience involved interaction with sales and marketing executives who are in direct contact with Eyecare professionals. It got me closer to the crux of our vision care goal. The best thing about this experience was that I was involved in key decision-making steps and felt like a valued member of the team. Additionally, I got to participate in Speed Mentoring Event with top Executives at Essilor. It was an insightful and refreshing experience to learn about their journeys and their mission on bringing people together to fight for this cause. I was provided with an exciting opportunity to witness the World Sight Day campaigns in the month of October.

3.3 I worked for Essilor of America for a little under a year. Essilor is one of the largest lens providers in the world with pioneer lens coating technology Crizal. Essilor also established the Essilor Vision Foundation which helps provides free eye exams and prescription lenses to children around the world who otherwise would not be able to afford them. While my time was short, it was enjoyable with very few negatives.
