"Having to be on call 24 hours a day and weekends / Holidays."

"Management needs to get more involved with the people on the floor and see what is really happening on a day to day basis."

"Do not under any circumstances take a job with this company. They treat their employees poorly."
What don't you like about working at SCHOTT Solar?
"Well, my manager for one, I don't like the lack of teambuilding, nor do I like the the favoritism among managers on who gets professional development training, and other outside training. I also think the President and COO is pretty disconnected from the company, he always sits in his office and never interacts with the people who make the company run"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Fire all of them and rehire with a new group paying close attention to personality traits"

"Know and understand the job requirements prior to applying and try to accept jobs with long term contracts."

"continious rotating schedules, we needed more consistency with scheduling or a scheudle where someone would not double back in daily"

"Listen to employees when making suggestions regarding management while on site"

"It was a really good place to start your career or end your career. It's a nice work environment."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Think about how you have used your skills and how those skills apply to the job that you are trying to land. For instance, if you have some experience in project management, but your title was not project manager, explain how you accomplished project management tasks. They're pretty open minded if you're creative."
What don't you like about working at State of Florida?
"There was not much room for career advancement and the salary was not competitive."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"It would be really smart to hire people who have had experience outside of government working in the desired area of expertise. Private sector candidates could use orientation training to government workings but they would generally be able to identify ways to streamline if they get both perspectives walking in the door."

"The challenge of making things better both in the safety and environmental areas."

"Be honest, be yourself and always use your experiences to maintain compliance and supportb the facility."

"There is nothing I do not like, it is a very good company."

"Management is extremely supportive in the effortts I have done in EHS."

"Senior management was not on-site and tried to micro manage most aspects of plant operations. However, this did not include environmental areas."
