"I liked everything until they laid me off. It was a great place to work."

"They are downsizing left and right. You should keep on looking."

"The absolute disregard held in the corporate office for the value of experienced employees."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There is more to the health of a company that the value of the stock."

"Most of the staff are very good people but because the company is so large there are a lot of problems with communication."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Unless your willing to bend over backwards to fit into the niche dont even bother applying. Thats not to say it doesnt pay well, they do but the bad out weighs the good there. Watch your back, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING, and never ask something verbally. Always email them and respectfully request a reply with an answer. So if you do get hired there be ready to have fun for the first 30 days, after that prepare to wear plate armor on your back."

What don't you like about working at EnergySolutions?

"There is something to be said about delgation of trust. The lack of trust between staff and managers is crazy. Watch your back, people have had to let the wounds heal for a while after leaving the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I've never ran a large or medium size company. After owning my own business I think they need to use the trust training they have instead of ignoring it."

"It was a good environment. It is a huge company where I can grow up into the position."

"I was challenged every day because I had never worked in this particular industry. There was always something new happening and my boss was very good about including me so I would be able to learn and grow. The only reason I left was because of a sudden death in the family. I subsequently ended up taking some time off."
