Energy Inscpectors Employee

"Management likes to use fear to motivate their employees, often threatening your position with the company if you complain. When you use the "escalation path" it falls on deaf ears. Executives will give motivational speeches which contradict everything that actually goes on behind closed doors. What is being done vs being said is never the same. When these items are brought to attention, they act as if they never knew about it in meetings, however are quick to pull you behind a closed door and say this is simply the way things are done but don't talk to anyone about it. Quick to assign more responsibilities without additional compensation. Average raise is 1%-3% if they decide to hand out raises that year at all. Bonuses are non existent. Overtime is expected, however payment for OT needs to be approved ahead of time but never is. Reimbursements are at $0.08 a mile with no additional compensation for wear and tear on your vehicle, and meal reimbursements are limited to $15. Starting PTO is limited to 10 days a year, however PTO approvals are few and far between, as there is never any coverage while you are out of the office. Returning after a PTO absence is horrendous as again little to no coverage when you are out. Inter department colleagues are friendly and understanding. Most managers being supportive of their department but lack communication among other departments. There is no accountability for each department. Every manager or department head will point the finger at another department even when displayed in black and white. There is no teamwork function or positive communication outside of your department. VERY high turnover rate! Ei has gone through 4 Human Resource Directors in the last few years as well as 10+ Accountants, and even more admins, engineers, field personnel and analysts."
