"I have worked at the Emerald Youth Foundation for a couple of months now. I work as a JustLead Tutor and it has been an amazing experience. The staff is so friendly and encouraging to one and another, and the work is very fulfilling. I have had to adapt my teaching style to the learning styles of the kids. I have gotten quite creative in making games, mnemonics, and activities that are motivational, fun, and of course educational. My only cons with this job are that it is paid bi-monthly and that there is a big religious emphasis. I know bi-monthly is not terrible, but sometimes I wish that I was just paid monthly instead. The religious aspect of the job does not get in the way of my teaching, however, it is something that I am not too keen on. I was born in a Christian home so I understand the Christian values that the foundation wishes to teach, but I do not practice the religion myself. So, if you want to work in a position like this, I would take that into consideration."
