"I've worked for Electronic Arts for three years. I've challenged myself in many ways and succeeded far beyond my initial dreams upon joining the company. I began as a marketing asset creator and have blossomed into a strong creative voice. Those around me trust my creative intuition and I've also learned to trust my creative instincts more than ever before. I'd consider myself a valued asset with a passionate, hungry attitude who always goes above and beyond what is expected of me."

Marketing Intern

"Electronic Arts was a great learning experience."

QA Tester

"Great place to work if you're a full-time employee, but contractors are a little too expendable"

What do you like about working at Electronic Arts?

"relaxed and fun atmosphere most of the time, casual dress, often tried to give what perks they could to employees like rideshare rewards, free decent dinners during forced overtime when budget allowed, tried to involve people in 'the process' more, massage chairs when they worked, great cafeteria, convenient location, opportunity to"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be personable they like people with a personality to lighten the mood when the hours get long and the grind sets in on the job"

What don't you like about working at Electronic Arts?

"contractors don't get benefits of any kind, more often than not on some forced overtime schedule upwards of 70 hrs/wk, lower level employees very expendable, daily monotony if atmosphere couldn't stay fun"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"trying to find a way to give contractors who end up doing 70 hr weeks sometimes some sort of tangible bonus or benefit for working those aside from merely overtime pay which is frankly necessary to become a 'livable' wage in Los Angeles"

QA Tester

"Stigma against QA Testers is frustrating."

Software Engineer

"Not a place you want to stay long-term."

Development Director

"EA has great growth potential, but has so many financial ups and downs that the turnover rate is high."

What do you like about working at Electronic Arts?

"Benefits package, stock options, PTO, and 401K"

What don't you like about working at Electronic Arts?

"Lack of urgency until the deadline is truly looming."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Break the team up into sub-teams and alternate the weekends they work. Do not burn out the entire team all at one time. Focus on legitimate goals and deadlines from day one, not one day before the deadline. When the team has to push hard against big goals and little time their morale drops and their trust in leadership diminishes."
