"I have worked in places that have fared better and places that have fared worse than Electrolux. They try to be people oriented but sometimes get tripped up. Their intentions are good but the execution and results could be better. Although we are supposed to be One Electrolux, our distance and uniqueness from the corporate offices and the manufacturing facilities make it challenging to implement 'one size fits all' policies."

"Recently Electrolux moved from Augusta, GA to Charlotte, NC and new leadership had taken over shortly after the move. Prior to the new leadership coming on board there was a strong commitment to employee respect and appreciation which is no longer an emphasis. The culture is very cut-throat and employees are not valued for their results. The company used to be a special one to be associated with, however, now it is just another big company!"

"If you are interested in a fast pace industrial manufacturing atmosphere, this is the place for you! Lots of great things to learn about and the massive scale is very impressive. Lots of work to do. Automation, steel stamping, robotics, welding, and the list goes on. Very interesting place to work, definitely not a desk job though. Management is a bit disorganized and a lot of work is done that is unnecessary."

"Making lasting relationships with customers and growing their business. Earning the trust of new customers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It is a great company to work for. The main issue (in my position as a DM) is that the trend of the appliance business is more and more moving to the big box retailers. The independent retailers are having a tougher time surviving and competing."

What don't you like about working at Electrolux?

"There are certain clicks within the company where favoritism is shown."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Look closely at expense reports. We are told that we are the CEO of our territory. Some take advantage of the freedoms of the job for personal gratification."

"The pay is better than average for this area. The people that I work with are also very nice."

"Don't do it, Keep looking elsewhere for a collaborative environment."

"Most team decisions are overridden by mangaement so no decisions get made."

"Learn how to listen to your people instead of issuing mandates that are not reasonable."

"the eye for an eye attitude of the majority of management looses focus on the job that needs accomplished."

"Management needs to work as a team also and not try to outsmart the other managers all the time. Stay focused ."
